Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the undrained pineapple into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the water over the pineapple.
- Pour the melted butter over the pineapple and water. Do not stir.
- Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the butter. Do not stir.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- You can substitute the pineapple with other fruits.
- For a richer flavor, use a chocolate fudge cake mix.
